Potassium permanganate for paint and pigment

Oxidation of paint and pigment intermediates Potassium permanganate having strong oxidizing property can oxidize H on side chains of benzene and its homolog into hydroxyl or carboxyl for producing all kinds of intermediates of dye, pigment and medicine. For example, pyrene, as a kind of organic compound, is light yellow monoclinic crystal (pure pyrene is colorless), and is balmy, flammable,insoluble in water and soluble in ethanol and aether. It can be used for electrophilic substitution reactions, e.g., halogenation, nitration and sulfonation. Pyrene mainly exists in distillate of coal tar pitch. Pyrene is a kind of organic synthetic raw material. Potassium permanganate with strong oxidizing property can oxidize pyrene into 1,4,5,8-naphthalenetetra carboxylic acid, used for dye, synthetic resin, disperse dyee and engineering plastic; and after being acidated, it can be used to produce vat brilliant orange GR and many kinds of other dye. It can also be used to produce insecticide, plasticizer, etc.

Potassium permanganate for sand-washing

Bleaching Potassium permanganate can react with acid medium into active oxygen to destory natural pigment and lignin of cotton fiber for bleaching.

Potassium permanganate can be used to bleach light denim into bottom color: light bleaching and heavy bleaching.

Light bleaching: bleach by mixing potassium permanganate and phosphoric acid with water in the safest and the most most common proportion of 1:2, e.g., 500g phosphoric acid+1000g potassium permanganate can be mixed with 50KG tap water. Heavy bleaching: After rotating the machine, directly dose powdery potassium permanganate (not mixed with water), run the machine for 5 minutes, add phosphoric acid (mixed with water as well), run the machine for about 10 minutes, take the denim and compare it with water plate. Potassium permanganate is superior to soaking because bottom color of denim is not affected greatly in the condition that the machine is not rotated, but soaking can fade the bottom color of denim quickly, even in the condition that the machine is not rotated.

Enhanced ink adhesion in plastic film printing Oxidant sulution like potassium permanganate or potassium dichromate can be used to treat plastic film to admit polar groups such as hydroxyl, carbonyl, alkyl and sulfate radical onto its surface and fracture and oxidize surficial molecular bonds, forming many micropores, increasing surface roughness and removing weak boundary layers so as to make ink adhering firmly. /

Pigment grade chrome oxide green

Coating raw material It has advantages of ligh resistance, corrosion resistance, wear corrosion resistance, chemical resistance, etc and is characterized by outstanding pigment quality and fastness.

1. It can be used as pigment of high-temperature resistant coating and refractory coating besides common coating. In addition, chrome oxide green is used widely as camouflage coating because of its good IR radiating capacity;

2. As a product for green pigment, its quality is required highly, so it must have good pigment performances like colourful light, colourability and covering power - see National Standard GB/T 20785-2006 for details.

Black pigment coloration It cannot be affected by acid and alkali with common concentration because it has such advantages as strong hiding power,high temperature resistance,sunlight resistance, light resistance, corrosion resistance,wear resistance and chemical resistance and is characterized by outstanding pigment quality and fastness. It is mainly composed of ferric oxide and chrome oxide green. When ferric oxide red and chrome oxide green in formula account for 50% respectively, it can exhibit very pure black blue after high temperature calcination. With increase of chrome oxide green in the formula, colour development saturation of colorant will be reinforced gradually and tone trends towards bluc. Chrome oxide green plays a auxochromic role in black development.
Gramineous colorant coloration It cannot be affected by acid and alkali with common concentration because it has such advantages as strong hiding power,high temperature resistance,sunlight resistance, light resistance, corrosion resistance,wear resistance and chemical resistance and is characterized by outstanding pigment quality and fastness. Gramineous colorant: chrome oxide green is main component of chromogenic reagent. Both saturation and tone of gramineous colorant are related greatly to crystallographic form and purity of chrome oxide green. Chrome oxide plays a key role in gramineous colorant. With increase in chrome oxide green content, saturation of colorant will become better and better and its tone trends towards blue green. When chrome oxide green content in formula is reduced gradually, gramineous colorant will trend directly towards yellow green and colour development saturation of colorant in glaze material will be weakened obviously.

Chromic anhydride for coloration

Glass coloration Chromium ion with special colorability can be used as greed additive and also coordinated with other metal oxides to form many kinds of color, and can improve service performances of building materials like glass and ceramics. Stained glass can be used to make kinds of decorative glass for life beautification and absorb solar visible radiation for weakening solar radiation, so it is applied widely. /

Chromic anhydride for mordanting

Mordanting anhydride can used to form complex among fiber, metallic ion and pigment so as to enhance colour fastness and increase fabric colour. It is mainly used for wool dyeing: dye wool fabric with mordant dye solution first and then mordant it with chromate salt solution to form complex among chromium, dye and keratin in wool fiber so as to realize color fixation. /
